Innovation: 1 percent inspiration, 99 percent perspiration. At Illumio, innovation is born out of hard work and the drive to solve our customer’s data center and cloud security problems. Our employees, customers, and partners are integral to our innovation momentum. We’re proud to share some news on that front: Illumio has been named a Best in Biz Awards silver winner in the Most Innovative Company of the Year category.
Best in Biz Awards
In its eighth year running, Best in Biz is the only independent business awards program judged each year by prominent editors and reporters from top-tier publications in North America. This year’s program proved to be a particularly tough competition, garnering close to 700 entries from an impressive array of public and private companies of all sizes and from a variety of geographic regions and industries in the U.S. and Canada.
“In today’s world, regardless of the industry you’re in, striving to innovate should be the baseline,” said Andrew Seale, Globe and Mail, joining the Best in Biz Awards judging panel for the first time. “The standouts amongst this year’s entrants for the Most Innovative Company of the Year push beyond that, bringing a new perspective altogether. From tackling a myriad of verticals with simple, sustainable design, to rethinking how companies and consumers keep information and personal data safe – this year’s winners aren’t just innovating, they’re redefining their industries.”
Innovation Highlights, Industry Firsts
In the past year, Illumio has launched industry-first product updates including:
- Vulnerability maps and the industry’s first vulnerability-based micro-segmentation, announced at RSA. In short: We've taken application dependency mapping to the next level by integrating third-party vulnerability and threat data, allowing organizations to see how exposed their vulnerabilities are and to reduce that exposure with micro-segmentation.
- PCE Supercluster, enabling organizations with large scale, globally distributed deployments and failover requirements to get visibility and micro-segmentation at unprecedented scale. Watch the introduction of PCE Supercluster in an epic set of demos at Networking Field Day.
Illumio also got the nod for industry-leading innovation in being named to the CNBC Disruptor 50 list for the second year in a row and receiving Morgan Stanley's CTO Innovation Award. In addition, for the third year in a row, our CEO and Co-Founder Andrew Rubin was recognized as one of Goldman Sachs 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs.
