Illumio Is a 2026 Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice for Network Security Microsegmentation

In this year’s report, 98% of reviewers said they would recommend Illumio based on 59 reviews as of November 2025. Those reviewers gave Illumio a 4.8 out of 5 star overall rating.

For us, that speaks to how customers experience Illumio day to day: how quickly they can deploy it, how easily they can use it to limit lateral movement, and how well they’re supported over time.

Breach containment has become a must

For years, cybersecurity followed a familiar model: keep attackers out, detect threats quickly, and respond when alerts fire. That approach made sense when environments were simpler and boundaries were clearer.

Today, it’s falling short.
