Licensed to Act: How AI Autonomy Is Outrunning the Limits Placed on It
A survey of 1,100 IT and security leaders finds organizations are giving AI more authority than they can check.
Security leaders are confident, with 84% saying they have clear visibility into how AI systems access data and systems. But only 49% can see and audit every action an AI agent takes.
This report, based on a survey of 1,100 IT and security decision-makers in 10 markets, measures how much control organizations have handed to AI. Seventy percent now let AI make decisions that once needed human approval. Only one in four counts clear limits on what AI is allowed to do among their main controls.
