Illumio Grows Investment in Talent with the Appointment of Emily Couey as VP of People

Former Eventbrite executive to lead Illumio’s employee growth and development as adoption of company’s adaptive security technology grows rapidly

SUNNYVALE, Calif. — March 28, 2016 Illumio, the Adaptive Security Company, today announced Emily Couey has joined the executive team as Vice President of People. The new role will guide both recruiting and employee development during this critical phase of growth. Couey comes to Illumio with more than 16 years of experience leading human resource professionals and helping organizations with their talent strategy, including acquisition and development management.

As former VP of People for Eventbrite, Couey led its people strategy and team as the company grew into the world’s largest self-service ticketing platform. Prior to Eventbrite, she held a series of leadership roles at Genomic Health and AdventureSeek.
