Illumio Expands Its Partner Service Delivery Program

The partner landscape is rapidly evolving as more partner organizations look to deliver value-added services to their customers. Illumio understands the need to continue to grow our relevance with our partner community.  

With that in mind, we are expanding our Partner Service Delivery Program to four certifications. The program lets partners get certified to build and advise on Illumio Zero Trust Segmentation (ZTS) in customer projects. Our partners now have even more chances to grow their business with Illumio, including two new service certifications focused on educating partners on introductory and intermediate level service capabilities. This helps them start and expand an Illumio practice.

IBM and CubeCyber have recently received the ZTS Professional certification. Illumio is excited to now welcome Navixia as the first partner to reach the ZTS Professional level in the EMEA region and the third partner worldwide.

Illumio Partner Service Delivery Program certifications

Earlier this year, we announced two architect-level Service Delivery certifications:

Illumio ZTS Professional – Level 3 (originally Services Specialist)

• Requirements to achieve: An Illumio partner at this level is able to lead a real-world deployment. A partner at this level is able to work independently in the architect role for up to 1,000 workload environments. They also have a mastery of full enforcement ZTS policy.  

• Illumio capabilities: A partner with this certification is able to deploy and write policy for Illumio for a customer with up to 1,000 workloads in their environment.

Illumio ZTS Elite – Level 4 (originally Services Expert)

• Requirements to achieve: An Illumio partner at this level is able to lead a large real-world deployment of at least 5,000 workloads. The partner consultant is able to work independently in the architect role for any size Illumio environments to achieve Full Enforcement.  

• Illumio capabilities: They are able to deliver the highest level of Illumio experience and expertise, following Illumio professional services team best practices.

Starting in June 2024, Illumio has two additional apprentice-level certifications which focus on providing the partner with the capabilities to service basic Illumio deployments. They serve as the building blocks and prerequisites for the Professional and Elite certifications.

Illumio ZTS Foundation – Level 1

• Requirements to achieve: The partner will join Illumio workshops on integrating PCEs, deploying VENs, and managing policy objects. When you pass the exam, you'll get your own SaaS PCE sandbox.

• Illumio capabilities: Achieving the Foundation certification means this partner understands through hands-on experience all the components of an Illumio deployment up to the level of visibility and is ready to participate in a customer deployment as an apprentice, taking direction from Illumio along the way.

Illumio ZTS Select – Level 2

• Requirements to achieve: The partner will work with Illumio Professional Services on the next customer engagement as an apprentice. In this role, you will build a deep understanding of the deployment and operationalization of the Illumio platform with emphasis on metadata discovery and an array of enforcement use cases utilizing Illumio Selective Enforcement.  

• Illumio capabilities: Achieving the Select certification means a partner is ready to lead a future Illumio deployment, with the intention of earning the ZTS Professional certification.
