Illumio Wins IBM Security Excellence in Global Sales Partnering Award

Illumio enables IBM Security customers to build a Zero Trust strategy

76% of organizations experienced a ransomware attack in the last two years alone. In today’s threat landscape, the likelihood of a breach is certain.

It’s no longer viable for organizations to be in an endless cycle of detection, response, and recovery that constantly impacts operations – the focus needs to be on containing breaches before they happen and stopping their ability to spread across networks.

This is why Illumio recently collaborated with IBM Security to launch Application Visibility and Segmentation (AVS) services, powered by the Illumio Zero Trust Segmentation (ZTS) Platform. With AVS, customers can leverage IBM’s security services expertise and IBM X-Force Protection Platform to manage existing workloads, enforcement policies, and changes in applications across environments.

With the integration of Illumio ZTS, the service enables IBM’s customers to build a Zero Trust security strategy that includes application visibility and ransomware resilience, environmental separation, critical infrastructure protection, and high-value asset protection.

Last year, Illumio also announced an integration with IBM Security QRadar XDR. This new integration provides pre-attack protections for accelerated detection in addition to automated containment and remediation capabilities. The integration helps customers detect, contain, respond, and recover from cyberattacks like ransomware with enhanced visibility into network traffic and the ability to limit the spread of attacks by segmenting application networks.

This most recent award follows Illumio’s 2022 recognition as an IBM Security Services Global Alliance Program Emerging Partner. This award recognized Illumio’s joint work with IBM Security to prevent ransomware and other breaches from becoming cyber disasters.
